Just a quick update for all of those following our blog! Things have gone smoothly so far with no delays and we now sit in Miami enjoying the ambience of the MIA. Many of you will be glad to know that David Hill, our suspected terrorist team member, made it through US customs with no problems at all (last time we went with him they questioned and held him until about 5 minutes before our flight). We will be sitting here for another two hours before boarding a plan and heading off to Quito where will enjoy some food and some much needed rest. The team is in good spirits although we are all, as Alicia says, “pooped”. We appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers and we look forward to what God has in store for us during this trip. I’ll write a bit more when we safely arrive in Quito.
Just for curiosity sake here are the members of the Ecuador 2010 team and quotes from them after many hours of wakefulness:
Christian Sauvé - “There are no toads in toad pool.”
David Hill - “Alicia’s ab’s are rock solid!”
Lili Mejia - “ummmmmm”
Jeff Cavill - “I’m really tired. Duhhhhh.”
Joshua Smith - “Give me moments, not hours or days.”
Hannah Jonker - “I hate planes.”
Amanda Sauvé - “I already puked so I am good to go.”
Alicia Hofland - “I’m pooped.”
Dawna Sauvé - “Mumble. Mumble. Sigh. Snort. Snooze.”
Jeremy Sauvé - “I’m sick and hurt everywhere. Me need sleepies.”
